I just can add, that you may need to see the video that comes on their CD to learn how to set it up (or do they have one on their website?). Other than that the setting and installation will take only 10 minutes and operation (tests, etc.) is a breeze.Unless you are a millionaire, I would not recommend buying them for an ENTIRE house. No use. Just place a few at hard-to-reach or hard-to-hear smoke locations (i.e. attic, basement) and/or key CO locations (gas stove, chimney, gas appliances) and that would be enough. The rest of the house can still have the regular cheap smoke alarms.

Product works great. After reading other reviewer complaints about setup, I watched the video carefully and did not have any trouble setting up the network. I am thrilled to have a network of detectors in the event of a fire.
